Jessica Powell is currently Head of Product Communications for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for
Google. In 2006 she co-founded
The Literacy Project with
UNESCO's Institute for Lifelong Learning and
LitCam. The site aims to encourage best practice and project sharing between non-profit groups working in literacy and reading promotion.
Powell has worked as an editor, journalist, and translator in the U.S, Europe, and Japan, and until 2005 was the Director of Communications for the
International Confederation of the Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) in Paris, France. She is also the author of a book,
Literary Paris, published in 2006.
